preparation

I'm making this apple tart for the dinner party tonight, to have after the batata vadas and dosas and pressure-cooked rice. I just made the dough for the tart, and I am already excited about the eating we will be doing.

Pressure cooked rice? Why is that better? Mom

Pressure cooked rice is not in itself better - but that was the recipe we were using, which also included lentils and some other stuff all in the pot together (it's called khichdi). It just happens to be pressure cooked, the way F. makes it.
